1. Website Use

The content, design, and all intellectual property on lumencafe.ca, including logos, text, graphics, images, and software, are the exclusive property of Lumen Cafe or its content suppliers and are protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You are granted a limited license to access and make personal use of this site. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this site or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this site or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

You agree to use lumencafe.ca only for lawful purposes. You shall not post or transmit through the site any material which violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others, or which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.

2. Online Orders & Retail Purchases

Products and Pricing

All products listed on our website, including coffee beans, lighting fixtures, and workshop tickets, are subject to availability. While we strive for accuracy, pricing and product descriptions may occasionally contain errors. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

Payment, Shipping, and Returns

Payment: All online orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase using accepted payment methods. Your transaction is secure and encrypted.

Shipping: We offer shipping services across Canada. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Please note that delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

Return Policy: For retail lighting products, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is in its original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase. Coffee beans and perishable food items are generally non-returnable. Please contact [email protected] for specific return inquiries related to online orders. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

3. Events & Workshops

Registration and Payment

To ensure a quality experience, our workshops and events often have limited capacities. Registration is confirmed upon full payment of the specified fees. All payments for workshops are processed securely through our website or in-store.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. For workshop and event bookings:

• Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled event are eligible for a full refund to the original payment method.
• Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event start time are non-refundable. However, your registration may be transferred to another person if you notify us via email at [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to the event.
• No-shows are not eligible for refunds or transfers.

4. Legal Disclaimers

Limitation of Liability

Lumen Cafe, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lumen Cafe and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use and access of the Service, by you or any person using your account and password; b) a breach of these Terms, or c) Content posted on the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
